नई दिल्ली : इस्लाम धर्म में ईद का विशेष महत्व होता है. ईद उल अजहा यानी बकरीद का त्योहार इस्लामिक कैलेंडर के अनुसार 12वें महीने जुल-हिज्जा के दसवें दिन मनाया जाता है. ईद उल फितर के बाद ईद उल अजहा (Eid Ul Adha) इस्लाम धर्म का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा त्योहार माना जाता है. यह त्योहार प्रेम, समर्पण और विश्वास का प्रतीक माना जाता है. इस त्योहार की परंपरा के अनुसार इस दिन बकरे की कुरबानी दी जाती है और इसे रिश्तेदारों, दोस्तों, पड़ोसियों और जरूरतमंदों में बांटा जाता है. इस दिन मुस्लिम मस्जिद जाते हैं और दुआ मांगते हैं.

भारत (India) समेत कुछ एशियाई देशों में धुल हिज्जा का चांद 7 जून को दिखा था इसीलिए भारत में ईद उल अजहा 17 जून, सोमवार को मनाई जाएगी. भारत के अलावा पाकिस्तान, मलेशिया, इंडोनेशिया, जापान, ब्रूनेई और होंग कोंग में 17 जून के दिन ही ईद मनाई जाने वाली है.

सऊदी अरब, संयुक्त अरब अमीरात (UAE), कतर, कुवैत, ओमान, जोरडन, सीरिया और इराक में ईद उल अजहा 16 जून को मनाई जाएगी.

ईद उल अजहा से पैगंबर हज़रत इब्राहीम की कहानी जुड़ी है. माना जाता है कि एक बार अल्लाह ने पैगंबर हज़रत इब्राहीम का इम्तिहान लेने की सोची और उनके ख्वाब में आकर कहा कि वे अपनी कोई अजीज चीज, कोई प्यारी चीज अल्लाह को दे दें. इस ख्बाब से आंखें खुलीं तो हज़रत इब्राहीम उठे और सोच में पड़ गए. उन्होंने अपनी सबसे प्यारी चीज के बारे में सोचा और उनके जहन में सबसे पहले उनका बेटा इस्माइल आया. पिता ने अल्लाह (Allah) को अपना पुत्र सोंपने का मन बना लिया.

जब पैगंबर हज़रत इब्राहीम बेटे स्माइल को लेकर कुर्बानी के लिए पहुंचे तो रास्ते में कई शैतानों ने उन्हें समझाया कि ऐसा ना करें लेकिन उन्होंने किसी की नहीं सुनी. उनके लिए बेटे को कुर्बान करना मुश्किल था इसीलिए उन्होंने आंखों पर पट्टी बांधकर बेटे पर तलवार चलाई. लेकिन, जब पट्टी हटाई तो देखा बेटा सही सलामत है और उसके स्थान पर एक डुम्बा यानी बकरा है. इसके बाद से ही बकरीद (Bakrid) मनाई जाने लगी और अल्लाह की इबादत में बकरे को कुर्बान करने की परंपरा शुरू हुई.

ईद (Eid) के दिन बकरे की कुर्बानी दी जाती है. इस दिन नए कपड़े पहने जाते हैं, पकवान बनाए जाते हैं, मस्जिद जाकर नमाज़ पढ़ी जाती है और हर तरफ खुशी का माहौल होता है.

New Delhi: Eid has special significance in Islam. Eid ul Azha i.e. Bakrid festival is celebrated on the tenth day of the 12th month Zul-Hijjah according to the Islamic calendar. Eid ul Adha is considered the second biggest festival of Islam after Eid ul Fitr. This festival is considered a symbol of love, dedication and faith. When is Eid ul Adha

In some Asian countries including India, the moon of Dhul Hijja was seen on June 7, that is why Eid ul Azha will be celebrated in India on Monday, June 17. Apart from India, Eid is going to be celebrated on 17th June in Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Brunei and Hong Kong.

Eid ul Azha will be celebrated on 16th June in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Syria and Iraq.

Importance of Eid ul Azha

The story of Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim is associated with Eid ul Azha. It is believed that once Allah thought of testing Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim and came in his dream and told him to give one of his dearest things, one of his beloved things to Allah. When Hazrat Ibrahim woke up from this dream, he got up and started thinking. He thought about his most beloved thing and the first thing that came to his mind was his son Ismail. The father made up his mind to hand over his son to Allah.

When Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim reached for the sacrifice of his son Smile, many devils on the way tried to convince him not to do so but he did not listen to anyone. It was difficult for him to sacrifice his son, so he blindfolded himself and attacked his son with a sword. But, when he removed the blindfold, he saw that his son was safe and in his place was a goat. Since then Bakrid started being celebrated and the tradition of sacrificing a goat in the worship of Allah started.

Goats are sacrificed on the day of Eid. On this day, new clothes are worn, dishes are prepared, prayers are offered in the mosque and there is an atmosphere of happiness everywhere.
