नियम के अनुसार- राहुल गांधी को रायबरेली और वायनाड में से एक सीट छोड़नी पड़ेगी. चुनाव परिणाम आने के 14 दिनों के भीतर दो में से एक सीट छोड़ने का नियम है. यदि 14 दिनों के भीतर एक सीट पर से इस्तीफा नहीं दिया तो दोनों सीट रिक्त मानी जाएंगी.

कांग्रेस के नेता राहुल गांधी के लिए फैसले की घड़ी अब सिर पर लटक रही है. उनके पास अब कल का दिन ही बाकी है. उन्हें रायबरेली और वायनाड में से एक सीट को चुनना होगा. दरअसल, राहुल गांधी रायबरेली और वायनाड दोनों सीटों से जीते हैं. रायबरेली से 3 लाख 90 हजार और वायनाड 3 लाख 64 हज़ार मतों से वह जीते हैं. नियम के अनुसार- राहुल गांधी को रायबरेली और वायनाड में से एक सीट छोड़नी पड़ेगी.
चुनाव परिणाम आने के 14 दिनों के भीतर दो में से एक सीट छोड़ने का नियम है. यदि 14 दिनों के भीतर एक सीट पर से इस्तीफा नहीं दिया तो दोनों सीट रिक्त मानी जाएंगी. यानी राहुल गांधी को 18 जून तक रायबरेली या वायनाड में से एक सीट पर इस्तीफा देना होगा. कोई सदस्य यदि इस्तीफा देना चाहता हो तो उसे लोकसभा अध्यक्ष को लिखित रूप में इस्तीफा देना होगा. किसी सदस्य के इस्तीफा देने के 6 महीने के अंदर उस सीट से उपचुनाव कराने का प्रावधान है.

क्या वायनाड सीट छोड़ेंगे राहुल और प्रियंका लड़ेंगी चुनाव?
राहुल गांधी के ऑफिस ने इस बारे में सारी जानकारी लोकसभा सचिवालय से ले ली है. लोकसभा के महासचिव इस्तीफा स्वीकार करने के बाद उसे लोकसभा के बुलेटिन या गजट में प्रकाशित करेंगे और उसकी एक कॉपी को चुनाव आयोग को भेजा जाएगा. उसके बाद चुनाव आयोग उस सीट को रिक्त मानते हुए वहां चुनाव का अधिसूचना जारी करेगा. बताया जा रहा है कि राहुल गांधी वायनाड सीट छोड़ सकते हैं और वहां होने वाले उपचुनाव में प्रियंका गांधी के नाम की अटकलें चल रही हैं, हालांकि वह वहां से चुनाव लड़ेंगी या नहीं इस पर सस्पेंस बना हुआ है.

गांधी परिवार की पारंपरिक सीट है रायबरेली
चुनाव से पहले तक राहुल गांधी वायनाड सीट से लोकसभा सदस्य थे. 2024 में वह इसी सीट से फिर चुनाव लड़े और जीते. उन्होंने रायबरेली से भी जीत हासिल की जो कि गांधी परिवार की पारंपरिक सीट है. आखिरी बार इस सीट का प्रतिनिधित्व उनकी मां सोनिया गांधी ने किया था. अबकी बार वह लोकसभा चुनाव नहीं लड़ीं बल्कि राज्यसभा सदस्य बन गईं.

बता दें अपने मतदाताओं का आभार जताते हुए राहुल गांधी ने कहा था कि वह दुविधा में हैं कि कौन सी सीट रखें और कौन सी छोड़ें. लेकिन जो भी फैसला लेंगे उससे सभी को खुशी होगी. इसके बाद से ही अटकलें लगाई जाने लगीं कि वह वायनाड सीट से प्रियंका गांधी वाड्रा को चुनाव लड़वा सकते हैं. उनकी इस बात पर कलपेट्टा की जनसभा में प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष के सुधाकरन ने मुहर लगाई थी कि राहुल गांधी पार्टी के हित में वायनाड सीट खाली करेंगे.
